Stroke Certification Fees

The Mark of Distinction
How do you demonstrate to patients, payers, and your community that the care you render is truly a “cut above”?

Disease Specific Certification (DSC) recognizes organizations that deliver evidence‑based best practices to targeted patient populations. The Acute Stroke Ready Certification (FSEC) program extends this recognition to free‑standing emergency centers that provide high‑quality stroke care for patients who present to facilities without primary or comprehensive stroke center capability. Standards for this certification are based on the Formation and Function of Acute Stroke–Ready Hospitals within a Stroke System of Care by the Brain Attack Coalition, and are further supported by guidance from the American Heart Association / American Stroke Association. The program is available as an add‑on for CIHQ‑accredited FSECs or as part of the initial accreditation process for new facilities.

Why Evidence‑Based Stroke Care Matters

Research has consistently shown that emergency centers that deliver evidence‑based stroke care:

• Achieve better patient outcomes
• Reduce errors and adverse events

• Improve patient satisfaction
